MyFlight Advisor - ManagedSHARE Program

A Better Way
to Share the Sky

MyFlight Advisor (MFA) ManagedSHARE offers aircraft owners an innovative way to quickly defray operating costs without the hassle of finding, qualifying and managing multiple leaseholders to become program participants.  Using a standard fractional leasing model, ManagedSHARE identifies up to three program participants, each of whom leases an equal share of your aircraft,  pays an equal share of the aircraft’s operating expenses, and is assigned a specific number of days based on a first come basis. ManagedSHARE makes flying turn-key by managing everything, including maintenance, operations, aircraft crew, and trip scheduling, all while protecting your asset.

Take it for the Day and Never
Worry About Hours

All program participants will have an equal number of access days per year, based on the maximum annual utilization that you approve. We operate on your schedule, so your aircraft is always waiting for you whenever you are ready to go, and you only pay for the hours you use.

How Does It Work?

Setting up your aircraft with MFA is simple:

  1. MFA assumes management of your aircraft via a lease agreement under your terms
  2. MFA then identifies 3 equal share members who each sign a multi-year lease agreement
  3. Each new member pays an annual lease fee to MFA
  4. Members and the aircraft owner pay the designated hourly rate and monthly fixed expense rate (only members pay airframe maintenance reserves)
  5. MFA handles all aspects of the aircrafts operation, including crew, maintenance, hangar, insurance and scheduling

Fewer Leaseholders Equals Better Access

With just 3 other members per aircraft, access based on your schedule is rarely a problem. If a schedule conflict does arise, we will resolve it quickly so that the airplane is ready when you are. Additionally, because all members are located in the same area, repositioning is never an issue, so you spend less time waiting and more time flying.

Shared Access Keeps Costs Low

Our ManagedSHARE program offers the low hourly aircraft cost of aircraft ownership without the high cost of acquisition and maintenance bills. Because aircraft access is shared with the program participants rather than guaranteed, we can keep costs low and pass that savings on to you.

Dedicated Service Is Just a Phone Call or Text Away

Reserving the aircraft is as simple as a single phone call or text to our dedicated client services team, who will handle every aspect of the flight. When your plans change, they will be there too, 24/7/365.

Aircraft Crews You Know and Trust on Every Flight

We use dedicated flight crews that only fly your aircraft, including those you may already employ, so you will always see familiar faces in the cockpit and cabin. Our crews are highly trained to get you to your destination safely while providing the best experience in the industry.

FAQ

We have compiled answers to some common questions that people ask after reviewing the details of the ManagedSHARE program.

What is the difference between a “leased managed share” aircraft and “fractional share”?
  • ManagedSHARE is a boutique shared aircraft service purposely designed to fly only a limited number of program participants to increase availability, unlike typical fractional ownership programs.
  • Program participants include the aircraft owner and up to 3 individual leaseholders.
Where is the aircraft based?

The base airport originally chosen by the aircraft owner will remain unchanged.

How experienced is ManagedSHARE?
  • The senior management team has been at the forefront of private air travel for decades as both a successful serial entrepreneurs and industry executives in private and charter aircraft fleets.
  • The supporting team members are successful industry executives who bring leadership and knowledge from the fractional ownership industry, including NetJets, Flexjet and others, while developing “best practices” in safety, operations, accounting, client services, and more.
  • This combined team has been successfully operating similar companies for years.
What if I need to depart or arrive at an airport other than where the aircraft is based?
  • ManagedSHARE is planned around  certain geographical regions.  We will reposition the airplane for program participants at no charge for departures and arrivals at other nearby airports that will be defined in the agreement.
  • Departures and arrivals beyond nearby airports will be charged a modest repositioning fee.
Is there a maximum number of program days each program participant can use?
  • Usage is limited to 70 program days and by aircraft availability.
  • Program participants may fly up to 100 hours on their program days subject to the terms and conditions in the Agreement.
What if 2 program participants want to fly at the same time?

Airplane scheduling is on a first-come, first-served basis to resolve such situations. Our goal is to accommodate everyone’s travel plans:

  • Regardless of priority, the 2 program participants will be contacted by the Client Services Manager to determine if they have any scheduling flexibility.
    • Often, even a slight adjustment, such as moving the departure time by an hour, can resolve most conflicts.
    • Keep in mind that the average flight lasts only 2 hours, making it relatively easy to accommodate multiple trips in a day.
  • In the rare event that a conflict cannot be resolved, the second program participant who requested a flight will either reschedule or have the option to secure third-party charter services at a wholesale price.
    • Unlike  fractional ownership programs where a solution is automatically arranged and is covered by paying a much higher cost on every flight, ManagedSHARE lets the program participant decide if they want to incur any expenses for third-party services.
How many program participants will there be for the aircraft?
  • ManagedSHARE believes in keeping its program simple and transparent.
  • Unlike typical fractional ownership programs involving up to 16 owners per aircraft, ManagedSHARE is limiting its shares to a maximum of 4 program participants.
  • As a result, you will fly on your airplane.
Does the ManagedSHARE program feature Peak Days?

The fractional ownership and jet card programs in the marketplace have Peak calendar days which place multiple restrictions on how and when they can be used to temper demand.  Because ManagedSHARE is a shared aircraft service, there are no Peak days.

What is the minimum call out time to schedule a flight on the aircraft?
  • 24 hours or as available.
  • Flights may be booked in advance up to 90 days for weekdays, and up to 30 days for weekends.
  • Holiday travel is booked on a first-come first-served basis.
  • We will work with the program participants to ensure flight requests can be accommodated if possible, and supplemental lift may be required if necessary.
Does ManagedSHARE add a fuel surcharge to its hourly rate?
  • Unlike the major fractional ownership providers that add a fuel surcharge to their hourly rate using a complicated formula, ManagedSHARE keeps it simple by establishing a set hourly rate based on a fixed price per gallon of fuel.
  • Then, we invoice the program participants monthly in arrears for the gross increase in fuel cost at the airport of departure.
If I take a week-long trip to New York, would I have to pay repositioning charges both ways if other program participants need the aircraft?
  • This issue highlights the core advantage of the ManagedSHARE program, particularly in terms of net cost to the program participants.
  • In fractional programs, the answer is yes, you would typically have to cover repositioning costs.
  • In the ManagedSHARE program, however, the answer depends on the circumstances.
  • You will only need to return the plane to its home base if another program participant requires it.
What happens if the aircraft cannot fly for unexpected maintenance reasons and another aircraft is not available?

ManagedSHARE offers trip insurance for each flight separately at an average cost of 4% of the total cost of your trip that will cover a replacement aircraft up to twice the cost of the original trip cost.

What is the overnight cost?
  • Overnight costs within the continental U.S. or lower 48 states are $750 per night.
  • For flights outside this area actual costs for crew lodging and meals are applied without any markup.
Is there a referral incentive program for participants?

Yes. If a program participant refers someone who becomes a new participant, their account will be credited with additional days.
